About Me

I Trained at RADA, graduating in December 1999 with an Honors Diploma in Stage Electrics. Since then I've been working as a Lighting Designer, the details of which appear on this website.

Over the past ten years my work has progressed from working in the pub theatres of the London Fringe up to UK mid scale touring and beyond. To supplement my design income I've also worked as a Production Electrician. After leaving RADA I toured with Welsh National Opera for 18 months before moving to the Royal Opera House where I worked on and off for 7 or so years.

Notable productions that I have been Production Electrician for include 'Jerusalem' and 'Clybourne Park' for the Royal Court in the West End, 'Three Days of Rain' at the Apollo and 'Pinters People' at the Haymarket Theatre for Jon Clark, 'Giselle' for Adam Silverman and the Fabulous Beast Company in Poland, 'Under the Blue Sky' for Mark Henderson at the Duke of Yorks Theatre, and more recently 'Decade' for Malcom Rippeth and Headlong at St Katharine's Dock.

As a Relighter, my credits include productions for Shared Experience, The Donmar, Headlong, Oxford Stage Company, The Lyric Hammersmith and Grange Park Opera, for Lighting Designers such as Paule Constable, Jon Clark, Chris Davey and Natasha Chivers

I also set up and built www.Set-Exchange.co.uk. A place for theatres to post items of unwanted set, props and costumes for free, and offer them to other members of the theatre community to re-home, reuse and recycle.

When not in the theatre, I like to spend time with my lovely wife, along side playing the piano, riding my bike and the odd bit of running.
